New Real Estate Franchise, New Town, New Office, Major Success

Rick Seals"EXIT Heart of Illinois, Realtors opened for business in November 2006 in Peoria, IL with only an office location, me as broker/owner and Susan Auer as office administrator. Being from Bloomington, which is 50 miles away, I wasn’t from the Peoria area. I was a new broker, in a new town, with the first new EXIT franchise to open in downstate Illinois. We certainly had our recruiting work cut out for us.  

"We now have 28 sales associates in our office and currently rank sixth amongst 20 offices for units by the Peoria Area Association of REALTORS®. We are also ranked #1 in total sales as well as number of agents in our region. Our success has revolved around several key factors; first and foremost, having a strong administrator.  Secondly, is following the blueprint outlined in the Broker Training Manual. From choosing a great office location to advertising like the leading companies in the marketplace, to being “consistently persistent” in marketing, we’ve done it.

"We regularly use EXIT Promo Shop to send blast emails, we mail the EXIT Recruiter Newspaper directly to agents’ homes and place phone calls to agents who have opened the EXIT Promo Shop email blasts. The system doesn’t fail broker/owners; broker/owners fail to use the system.

"Being focused every week on recruiting is the key; you must schedule time each week and focus on getting the EXIT message out to the agents in your association.  By following the blueprint EXIT Realty Corp. International has set forth in the Broker Training Manual and by being “consistently persistent” in your efforts, results will follow. I’m very proud of our results and in such a short period of time. We continue to strive to find new and creative ways of communicating how agents can EXIT traditional real estate and get the most and best out of themselves. 

"We aim to have 40 agents and $50 million in closed sales by the end of 2008. I know by being diligent with the EXIT blueprint we can exceed our goals!"
